Amusnet has secured certification for Brazil’s upcoming regulated market launch, signalling a “major step” for the supplier’s global growth.

Hoping to become a “key player in Brazil’s rapidly growing gaming industry”, Amusnet has gained the appropriate permission to offer slot releases to the nation’s operators once the Brazilian market begins on January 1, 2025.

“Brazil is a strategically important market for Amusnet, and this certification emphasises our dedication to providing exceptional experiences for players and operators while adhering to local regulations,” said Irina Rusimova, Chief Commercial Officer at Amusnet.

As a result of the certification, online casino players in Brazil’s upcoming regulated market will be able to spin the reels on 160 certified Amusnet slots such as 20 Golden Coins Dice Edition, Hot Deco, 100 Power Hot Dice Edition, Extra Crown, Aztec Dice, Candy Palace, Dancing Dead, Diamond Plus and Virtual Roulette.

Rusimova continued: “It represents a major step in leveraging our global expertise as a leader in igaming solutions, solidifying our position as a trusted and reliable partner for our clients in Brazil.”

The move sees the studio significantly bolster the position of its slot content in the Latin American market. Amusnet’s LatAm Business Development Officer Georgi Izov recently sat down with CasinoBeats to discuss the firm’s strategy for this region, explaining the importance of localisation.

He said: “We focus on an in-depth localisation process for each country, ensuring that our games’ themes, mechanics, and aesthetics align with local expectations.

“Traditional casino-themed games like slots and roulette are widely accepted, but we are also developing exclusive content for LatAm, adapting symbols, characters, and mechanics that appeal to the regional player.”

Georgi Izov, Amusnet’s LatAm Business Development Officer, chats with CasinoBeats about how the supplier is navigating market-specific content, compliance, and Brazil’s upcoming regulated launch.

CasinoBeats: In what markets is Amusnet live and what partners do you currently work with in Latin America?

Georgi Izov: Amusnet has solidified its presence in several key Latin American markets, including Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Peru, where we work with leading operators who share our vision of delivering innovative and high-quality gaming experiences. Through strategic alliances, we have successfully adapted and distributed titles that resonate with player preferences in these markets, reinforcing our localisation strategy in the region.

CB: How do you approach the Latin American market in terms of content? Which types of games work best in that market and how do you ensure that Amusnet titles are optimised for that audience?

GI: We focus on an in-depth localisation process for each country, ensuring that our games’ themes, mechanics, and aesthetics align with local expectations. Traditional casino-themed games like slots and roulette are widely accepted, but we are also developing exclusive content for LatAm, adapting symbols, characters, and mechanics that appeal to the regional player.

CB: Regulation is constantly changing in Latin America, so how do you remain compliant in regard to the technical aspects of your games?

GI: To ensure compliance with local regulations in a constantly changing environment, we maintain a dedicated team of legal and compliance experts to monitor regulations in each country. We continuously update our systems and processes to meet the required standards and technical requirements, including the certification and approval of our games in the jurisdictions where necessary. Our flexible technical infrastructure allows us to quickly adapt to new regulatory requirements and ensure the smooth operation of our titles across the region.

CB: Brazil is the most hotly anticipated market in the world right now, as all roads lead to the regulated market launch in January. What are Amusnet’s plans for Brazil, and how will you ensure your titles are not only live in Brazil but also popular with players?

GI: We are looking forward to the upcoming launch of the regulated gambling market in Brazil, where we plan to release a range of games specifically adapted to Brazilian players. We are committed to localising our product, including the use of themes, colours, and mechanics that connect with Brazilian culture. Our goal is to ensure that our games are not only available but also have a strong impact and popularity among Brazilian players.

SBC: What type of research have you done in the Brazil market in terms of what types of games are popular with players in Brazil? For example, are there certain mechanics that players are most interested in?

GI: We have conducted extensive research in Brazil to identify the game mechanics and themes that most appeal to Brazilian players. In addition to our research efforts, we have a highly experienced Country Manager based in Brazil, who brings both a deep understanding of the industry and a thorough knowledge of Brazilian culture and market specifics. With his expertise, we continuously analyse local player preferences, including emerging trends. This combination of insights allows us to customise and create gaming experiences that truly resonate with Brazilian players, driving engagement, satisfaction, and a strong presence in this dynamic market.

CB: What can readers expect from Amusnet in the coming months as you continue to pursue the LatAm opportunities? Are there any more partnerships/licenses in the pipeline?

GI: Amusnet is undergoing a significant expansion in the LatAm market, with the launch of new titles tailored to each country and the consolidation of new strategic alliances in the region. Our goal is to expand our presence in emerging markets and establish key partnerships in countries from this region. Additionally, we have exciting new online slots coming for release in these markets in 2025 on the roadmap, allowing us to enhance our offerings and expand our portfolio.

SlotBeats has gotten into the Christmas spirit with less than a month to go until the big day, handing its latest Slot of the Week prize to Amusnet for Coin Gobbler Christmas Edition

The festive slot release presents players with a 6×6 board with wins coming via cluster-pays. While players can claim up to x6,000 their stake, the slot is highly volatile with an RTP worth 96.27%.

Wins are formed in this game when six or more identical symbols land adjacent to one another, either vertically or horizontally. Any wild symbols that also land adjacent to any winning clusters will apply themselves to it.

Bonus gold coins can also drop into play, triggering six free spins when four coins land on the same spin.

The free spins game mode is progressive, as a guaranteed wild symbol appears on every spin. Each time four bonus gold coins are collected throughout the feature, this wild symbol will increase in size.

Starting at a size of 1×1 when the feature begins, collecting four, eight, 12, 16 or 20 gold coins across the feature will increase the wild to 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6 sizes, respectively.

Every time the wild symbol upgrades, between one and three additional free spins will be awarded randomly. Only one spin can be won when the wild upgrades to 6×6.

Finally, the Christmas Coin Gobbler character depicts the wild symbol for this slot, substituting for all symbols other than the bonus gold coins. Landing a full reel of wilds will award the game’s maximum win of x6,000.

Localisation is the focus for Amusnet amid continued expansion, according to the developer’s Chief Sales Officer, Irinia Rusimova.

Speaking to Danny Lee, Senior Journalist for SlotBeats, Rusimova explained that tailoring content to specific regions is “key in order to achieve sustainable growth”.

She said: “One of the key components when you enter a new market is localisation. The way we achieve localisation is by setting up local teams and building new offices in all these new markets.

“This is a very important part of the strategic plan that we have and with the help of the local teams, we are able to be closer to our partners, closer to the players and better understand what the specific requirements are of those new markets and how best we can adapt our portfolio from other markets that we already have and know are performing very well.”

In recent weeks, Amusnet has continued its expansion with the announcement of a partnership with Lucky Seven in Romania and Mojabet in Senegal.

Reflecting on the growth of Amusnet’s reach, Rusimova explained that its priority for product development going forward will be to “take into consideration the specifics of every single market” rather than producing a more general portfolio of content and products.

One of Amusnet’s latest releases is Coin Gobbler – the studio’s first-ever cluster slot.

The slot uses a Coin Gobbler character called Oscar and last month, Amusnet’s Game Producer, Plamen Slavov, detailed to Lee on the latest episode of Beyond the Reels that the character was introduced in an attempt to “engage a diverse player base”.

During the interview, filmed at SBC Summit Lisbon, Rusimova detailed how the slot differs from Amusnet’s previous offerings.

She said: “The game is a really interesting transition from the traditional and classical slots in terms of [being] a mixture of our highly successful game 20 Golden Coins, but it also adds a lot of modern features, which are giving the players a lot of new possibilities for more winnings, for higher payouts, in addition to the jackpot cards, which is one of our greatest marketing tools.

“We really want to provide upgrades, gameplay [and] really interesting and different possibilities for players to enjoy themselves while playing the slots.”

The rise of social media in the last ten years has changed the way businesses market to potential customers and this is no different for Amusnet.

Speaking to Danny Lee, Senior Journalist for CasinoBeats, Amusnet’s Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Liliya Chatalbasheva, outlined the “three main pillars” of Amusnet’s marketing strategy.

She said: “First of all, it is value-driven and engaging content which positions us on social media based on the brand’s objectives for the year. Second is collaboration with influencers and streamers where we find various audiences aware of our content which we can work with to enlarge our brand proposition.

“[Finally], localisation of content is very important, especially when you do business growth and expansion in countries like Brazil and the whole of Latin America. So this is a priority for us to be relevant to local clients and players.”

At SBC Summit Lisbon, Amusnet invited Portuguese casino content streamer Tiagovski to its stand, allowing attendees and fans to meet the influencer. He also live-streamed himself playing some of Amusnet’s latest slot titles on his Discord channel.

According to Chatalbasheva, collaborating with streamers and influencers like Tiagovski, who has over one million followers on YouTube, helps to build “stronger bonds with local players” and the industry in general.

During the interview, Chatalbasheva also spoke about the importance of attending industry events, such as SBC Summit Lisbon, for Amusnet.

“These events contribute a lot to our both brand visibility and product communication,” she explained.

“Sometimes having one-to-one conversations and interactions with our clients, both potential and current, are much more compelling than having a traditional advertising campaign. So for us again this is more contacts and more possibilities and options for sponsorships and media coverage. For instance now we are a premium sponsor at SBC Summit which is a huge opportunity.”

Amusnet has renewed its Critical Gaming Supply Licence from the Malta Gaming Authority to serve several jurisdictions across Europe.

The licence renewal will see Amusnet continue to hold its MGA supplier licence for a further 10 years, licensing the Bulgaria-based slot provider until 2034.

Furthermore, the studio’s licence has been upgraded to a Corporate Group Critical Gaming Supply Licence. This specific licence allows holders to include multiple entities within a group to be treated as a single licence.

As a result of this transition, Amusnet Gaming Ltd. will act as the designated company holding a licence that will cover three subsidiaries.

These subsidiaries include: Amusnet BNL B.V., serving Belgium and the Netherlands; Amusnet Spain S.L., serving Spain; and Amusnet d.o.o., serving Croatia.

This group licence will facilitate the provision of Amusnet’s slot content, including over 200 individual slot titles, via these subsidiaries to markets where local B2B licensing is not required.

The studio’s announcement stated: “The renewal underscores Amusnet Gaming’s commitment to compliance, integrity, and innovation within the gaming sector. It is a testament to the company’s ability to meet stringent regulatory standards and deliver secure and fair gaming experiences.”

The slot developer has also redesigned its website following the news, hoping to present “a modern and intuitive interface” in order to enhance its user experience.
