Online betting and gaming organisation Betsson Group has signed a collaboration agreement with the QLZH Foundation to become an official ‘Tree Partner’. 

As a result, Betsson now becomes the first igaming company to become a ‘Tree Partner’ as the foundation aims to sustainably transform the Maltese environment by planting one million trees. 

Jesper Svensson, CEO for Betsson Group, stated: “Our operational headquarters is in Malta, and has so been for over 15 years, and we care a great deal about the island. By supporting the planting of trees, we help improve the environment and climate for all who lives here, with fresher air, lower temperatures and pleasant greenery. 

“Saġġar has created a lot of awareness on the well-being of the environment that surrounds us, and this resonates very well with our Betssonites. So, whereas we usually give a small gift to each employee during Christmas time, we decided to instead donate one tree on behalf of each and every of our 1,650 Betssonites across the globe. 

“On a larger scale, we are committed to running a sustainable business and have introduced a new local community engagement strategy and several energy and water conservation as well as waste management measures.”

Galaxsys has broadened the reach of its content portfolio through an agreement with operator Betsson Group.

Through the deal with the gaming studio, Betsson Group’s 20-plus brands – including Betsafe, Betsson, NordicBet, StarCasino, and JallaCasino.se – will gain access to the studio’s slot titles.

Betsson Group has bolstered its presence in Denmark with the rebranding of Casino.dk into Betsson.

Launching its flagship brand in the Danish market for the first time, the entity will sit alongside the group’s existing NordicBet brand in the region as the operator continues to expand across the globe.

Pragmatic Play has rolled-out the latest strand of its global expansion strategy via the strengthening of an alliance with Betsson Group amid wider aspirations of achieving a further Latin American uplift.

Light & Wonder has expanded an existing distribution partnership with Betsson Group to include more content across new and existing markets for the operator.

A group of igaming brands are coming together to form the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming to contribute to the discussion of the country’s gambling market ahead of sports betting being regulated by the government later this year.

The founding members of IBJR include Bet365, Betsson Group, Betway Group, Entain, Flutter, KTO Group, Netbet Group, Rei do Pitaco and Yolo Group, which operate across over 100 countries.

André Gelfi, elected President of the IBJR, stated: “The IBJR’s mission is to collaborate with all sectors of society that want to learn more about the industry and understand how it can be harmoniously integrated into the Brazilian economy, as it has in other countries.

“We want to help build a safe regulatory environment for customers while financing the public sector and creating a sustainable operating environment for companies.”

Gelfi noted that the experience of the brands listed above will help when it comes to defining the regulatory framework of the Brazilian market.

“The issue of responsibility appears in the name of the institute precisely because this is the main spring for all actors involved in markets that have successful regulation. In these places, sports betting is seen as a source of entertainment that helps preserve the integrity of sport,” added the IBJR President.

“And it is clear that the sector’s sensitive aspects, such as compulsive gambling and money laundering, must be addressed in a forceful, logical, and responsible manner.”

Betsoft Gaming has strengthened its position in what the group noted as “a very important market” after striking an alliance with Betsson Group’s StarCasinò.

This will secure an expanded presence in the Italian online casino space, with the brand set to gain a fresh wave of content from the igaming supplier.

Igaming developer Pragmatic Play has partnered with Betsson Group’s Swedish brand Jalla Casino, agreeing to provide the latter with a branded live casino solution.

Bragg Gaming has secured its latest distribution agreement with Betsson Group, agreeing to host its titles with the latter’s online casino brands via its remote game server. 

Under the terms of the agreement, Bragg Gaming’s complete catalogue of igaming content, from both in-house and partner studios, will reach the player bases of over 20 brands under the Betsson Group banner.
