PlayOJO and DrückGlück’s operator SkillOnNet has strengthened its payment gateway with the inclusion of Apple Pay for both deposits and withdrawals.

The addition of Apple Pay is said to offer “high levels of security and unprecedented privacy” as players’ payments can be validated either with a passcode, touch ID, face ID or by double-tapping the side of their apple watch.

“Apple Pay has become one of the most popular payment methods thanks to its ease of use and high levels of security and privacy,” explained Michael Golembo, Sales and Marketing Director at SkillOnNet.

“This is certainly the case for online casino players, who like the speed at which it allows them to make deposits and withdrawals securely.

“SkillOnNet has built its reputation of providing players with the best possible experience across all areas of the casino and this includes payments. The addition of Apple Pay is evidence of our commitment to this and further establishes us and our casino brands as true market leaders.”

Accessible to all casino brands within the SkillOnNet network in the UK, Spain, Germany, Canada, Denmark, Portugal, and Sweden, Apple Pay’s inclusion will also apply to Genting Casino, Spin Genie, BacanaPlay, EU Casino, and Ahti Games.

Moreover, SkillOnNet has lauded the integration of Apple Pay to its payment gateway which offers internationally recognised options such as Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, and PayPal, along with localised providers including ecoPayz, Euteller and toditoCash.

SkillOnNet has had its licence renewed by the Schleswig Holstein regulator, enabling the online casino platform provider to continue operating the DrückGlück brand across Germany.

Lauded as a “major milestone,” the reissue of the online casino licence by the northernmost of Germany’s 16 state extends the firm’s stay in the country until 2021.

Michael Golembo, sales and marketing director at SkillOnNet, said of the development: “We are thrilled to have been reissued our online casino licence in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, allowing us to continue to offer players in the country the best possible online casino experience through DrückGlück.

“This is being backed by a major marketing campaign, first through extending our current partnership with Holstein Kiel – which to date has proved to be hugely successful for both parties – and then via a major TV advertising campaign across all the big channels.

“DrückGlück, with over 3,000 games on offer, has established itself as the online casino market leader in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and the renewal of our licence proves that we are doing this while meeting the highest possible regulatory standards.”

Coinciding with the renewal, DrückGlück penned an extension to its sponsorship deal alongside Holstein Kiel, with SkillOnNet also plotting a high-profile advertising campaign across a number of channels, including Pro7, RTL, SAT1, VOX, Kabel1 and Sport1.

Tim Jost, head of marketing at Holstein Kiel, added: “After a very good start to a very promising cooperation, DrückGlück and KSV Holstein-Kiel have agreed on a long-term continuation and expansion of the partnership.

“With DrückGlück at our side, we have gained a partner who is very committed to Holstein Kiel and always communicates with us in an open and personal way, which we greatly appreciate here.

“Furthermore, we are proud that the brand Holstein Kiel can also be promoted to other public spaces by its partner DrückGlück. Community actions for fans and partners of KSV Holstein are implemented.

“We are very much looking forward to further positioning the Holstein Kiel brand together with our partner, and to be able to execute interesting campaigns for our fans and sponsors. We are very proud to have this partner by our side and look forward to the coming years.”

SkillOnNet has taken its total number of slots and table games available through its platform to in excess of 2,000, after welcoming content from Red Tiger Gaming.

As a result of the deal online casinos powered by the company will be able to access smash hits such as Mystery Reels, Dragon’s Fire and Thor’s Lightning, as well as the Power Reels series from the slots and gaming software supplier.

It was detailed that each game is offered with Red Tiger’s innovative progressive and ceiling jackpots, as well as the developer’s daily jackpots, which it states “are guaranteed to pay out before a set time each day, taking player excitement and engagement to the next level”.

Furthermore, SkillOnNet’s operator partners will also be able to access Red Tiger’s smart spins bonusing software and marketing tools.

Gavin Hamilton, Red Tiger CEO, commented: “It is no coincidence that some of the fastest growing casinos in the industry are powered by the SkillOnNet platform.

“With the addition of Red Tiger’s innovative content, jackpots, and marketing tools we are confident we can help drive them to new heights.”

In order to aid players in finding the right title for them, online casino gaming platform SkillOnNet has developed a “super-smart artificial intelligence game recommendation engine,” that puts games in front of players based on factors including player activity, launch date and country popularity.

Under the terms of the new agreement Red Tiger’s games, features and tools will be added to all SkillOnNet casinos, including PlayOJO, DrückGlück, LuckyNiki and recently launched AhtiGames, Cozino and LuckyMeCasino.

Michael Golembo, sales and marketing director at SkillOnNet, added: “Red Tiger develops some of the most colourful and exciting slots games in the industry, and that deliver compelling gameplay and added engagement through features such daily jackpots.

“They are a great addition to our already impressive game portfolio, providing even more choice to players across our network of online casino brands.”

Online casino DrückGlück is to be broadcast on television screens across Germany from Wednesday 30 January, when it returns for the third series of its “hugely popular” show.

The first five episodes of the DrückGlück TV show is to be broadcast on major network channel RTL2, with a further 17 episodes also set to be shown on Sport1.

DrückGlück, powered by the SkillOnNet platform and offering in excess of 1,250 slots and table games, states that the concept of its show is simple, with the host going head to head with a guest on a particular slot game.

Both competitors have ten free spins, and if the players scores the biggest win they get to keep their winnings, alternatively if the presenter wins the player receives €100 just for taking part.

Furthermore, the series is also set to receive a “massive “TV ad campaign” in addition to out of home advertising and the sponsoring of popular entertainment TV shows.

DrückGlück, which holds a Schleswig Holstein licence, is to see digital adverts also appear on billboards, buses, cinema screens, gym TV’s and in Burger King restaurants.

Maxim Batov at DrückGlück, commented: “The DrückGlück TV show has proved to be hugely popular with audiences across Germany, and we are thrilled to announce that it will be returning on January 30th for yet another series.

“We are supporting its return with a major advertising push across online and offline media, and expect to see a significant uptick in new player sign-ups over the coming weeks.”

Online casino gaming platform SkillOnNet recently revealed a roll out of its self-excluder identifier API, in order to aid affiliates promoting its white label partners within the re-regulated Swedish market.

Helping affiliates to remove self-excluded casino players from brands that utilise the firm’s platform, it ensures that marketing materials are not directed the way of individuals who have taken such measures.

Following the news that lottery game suppliers Gamevy and Glück Games are to merge, Helen Walton, co-founder of Gamevy, told CasinoBeats the union is “a very natural next step” for the two companies.

Permanently cementing their existing partnership, the two companies have joined forces under the Glück Group name to offer a broad range of more than 140 games to lottery, bingo and casino customers.

Together the two companies already supply operators such as Norsk Tipping, The Health Lottery and Lottomatica, and expect to announce more high-profile partnerships in the coming months.

“We’ve been partners for a while – it was a very natural next step

Walton, who remains part of the group’s senior management team, said: “We have complementary skills in the companies – and a bunch of very talented people. Together we plan to become a real force to be reckoned in the instant-win and casual games market.

“We’ve been partners for a while – it was a very natural next step.”

Helen Walton speaks at the CasinoBeats Summit in September, 2018

Adding that the companies were already closely connected, Walton continued: “We’ve shared a stand together at ICE for two years running, we share customers, we do joint sales… This feels like a continuation of our relationship.”

Walton told CasinoBeats that the merger had been on the cards for some time but the details of the deal needed to be worked out first.

“I think in all honesty we’ve known this was something we were aiming towards for six-to-nine months, but we there were a lot of details to work through,” she said.

“It was a certain ‘yes’ [to a merger] from very early on – but the ‘how’ took a bit longer. It’s exciting to be opening a new chapter in our story.”

The former chairman of Gamevy, Paul Dolman-Darrall will be the CEO of the new company, joined on the senior leadership team by his current co-founders, Walton and Dan Rough, and by the Glück Games managing director Robert Lenzhofer and Glück’s co-founders Arvind Upadhyay and Rafael Razim.

The companies will continue to run studios in London, Newcastle, Bilbao and Berlin with the existing 50 employees, with plans to “grow aggressively over the next few years”.

“We’ve been close colleagues and joint partners for what feels like a very long time,” said Dolman-Darrall. “We know that we have a uniquely talented bunch of designers, developers and marketeers and we believe that good as the success we have seen separately has been, together we will achieve even more. It gives us the ability to innovate more in our product development, serve our existing customers better and reach a whole range of new customers as well.”

“I met Paul and many of the Gamevy team at Pitch ICE in 2015 and just knew that they would be going places” added Lenzhofer.

“The merge of the two entities has already been executed on many operational levels and it’s a great match – on a people level, on a product level, on an office-geography level and even on a customer level, the two companies almost fully complement each other.

“We are on a very exciting ride to shape the future of what we hope will be the creation of the key-supplier in lotto and instant win,” said Lenzhofer.

Casino platform provider SkillOnNet has announced that it has submitted applications to commence operations in two European nations, as it sets its sights on a bout of expansion.

Firstly the firm, who recently struck a deal with casino games developer Thunderkick to integrate its portfolio of titles, has made initial steps forward to obtain a Swedish licence, as it strives to be “among the first to launch when the market regulates on January 1st 2019”.

Recent movements in the Scandinavian nation has seen PlayOJO, powered by SkillOnNet, launch to Swedish players in January, before agreeing a deal to sponsor the country’s thirty episode strong Paradise Hotel reality television series.

Furthermore, the platform provider, who also powers the DrückGlück online casino brand, has also filed papers with Portuguese regulator, Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal (SRIJ).

Planning to launch a new casino specifically targeting the Portuguese market, SkillOnNet’s goal would see entry made in the fourth quarter of this year.

Michael Golembo, sales and marketing director at SkillOnNet, said: “SkillOnNet powers some of the most popular brands in Europe, and to continue driving growth from these online casinos, we want to be active in as many regulated markets as possible.

“We are lean and nimble, so completing the licence paperwork for both Sweden and Portugal simultaneously was not a problem.

“We see both markets as having tremendous potential, and look forward to working with the regulator in each to obtain our permits.”

It’s not just SkillOnNet’s PlayOJO brand which has affiliated itself with reality television shows in recent time, with its DrückGlück entity aligning itself with German shows Celebrity Big Brother and Global Gladiators as part of €35m marketing drive.

The new autumn campaigns see the operator increase its offline marketing spend, with the adverts to be broadcast on channels Sat 1 and Pro 7 in the prime-time 8:15pm slot.

SkillOnNet has announced an enhancement of its casino software platform, after agreeing a fresh deal with independent casino games developer Thunderkick, which will integrate its portfolio of titles.

Encompassing a portfolio of “bold, vibrant and colourful slots,” the integration takes the suite of SkillOnNet titles to in excess of 1,400, with players also able to utilise an “AI-powered super-smart game recommendation engine,” to help users find the right game for them.

Via the new deal, players at various SkillOnNet powered online casinos, including PlayOJO, DrückGlück and the recently launched AhtiGames and Cozino, will be able to access titles such as Esqueleto Explosivo and Flame Busters.

Michael Golembo, sales and marketing director at SkillOnNet, said: “Thunderkick designs and develops some of the most creative and visually striking games on the market, that also deliver a compelling and engaging player experience.

“They are a strong addition to the SkillOnNet portfolio, and will be a roaring success with players across all of our online casino brands.”

Thunderkick, launched in 2012, has an aim of “developing games that pack a punch with stunning graphics, super-smooth gameplay and clear, crisp and authentic sound”.

A spokesperson for Thunderkick, added: “We are excited to see another operator take our content. Our content is in high-demand from operators and we are delighted to be welcoming SkillOnNet on board.

“SkillOnNet is an established name in the industry and we are certain our games will be well received by their players.”

This news follows a recent deal struck alongside Prime Gaming, which saw the casino platform provider chosen to launch its challenge brand LuckyMeSlots.co.uk.

The vacation themed offering focuses on players aged 30 and above in the UK, German and Nordic markets, aiming to give “a fun and friendly online casino environment”.
