International Game Technology is to enhance its standing in the Italian online gaming space after aligning with Microgame, which is hailed as “the number one online gaming service provider” across the region.

This will enable the platform provider to enhance its provision of online casino content, with the IGT PlayDigital library to be made available to almost 50 of Microgame’s operator partners within the country’s digital space.

“IGT has a rich history of providing best-in-class content across a variety of gaming channels in Italy, and Microgame is excited to now offer our operators and their players IGT PlayDigital’s highly engaging casino games,” said Marco Castaldo, Microgame CEO.

“The inclusion of PlayDigital’s igaming content strengthens our overall portfolio and complements our solutions so that we can continue to grow within the Italian market.”

Under the terms of the partnership, the exclusive IGT PlayDigital casino game library, including titles such as Treasures of the Pyramids, The Big Easy, Da Vinci Diamonds, and Cleopatra, will be made available via Microgame.

“This partnership with Microgame enables IGT PlayDigital to amplify our casino portfolio on a broader scale and continue offering Italian players some of the most compelling digital games in the industry,” added Gil Rotem, IGT President of iGaming.

“The demand for igaming continues to grow at a rapid pace and with IGT PlayDigital’s experience and deep understanding of the Italian gaming market, we are uniquely positioned to support Microgame in its portfolio expansion opportunities.”

Last month, IGT reported that total third quarter revenue was consistent on a year-over-year basis at $1.06bn (Q3 2022: $1.06bn), and up six per cent YoY (2022: $1bn) when excluding its Italian commercial services, which were sold in September 2022.

MGA Games has joined forces with Microgame as the slots supplier distributes its portfolio of titles to online casinos in Italy.

As part of the alliance, more than 50 online casino customers of Microgame will be the first to access MGA Games localised slot games and its new ‘Italian Celebrities’.

Joan Sanahuja, CEO and Founder of MGA Games, commented: “This collaboration represents an important step in our expansion strategy towards Italy, the second largest regulated market in Europe.

“Microgame has a profile that makes it the ideal partner. We are experiencing an exciting moment, preparing for our entry into the Italian market together with our celebrities.”

CEO of Microgame, Marco Castaldo, expressed: “We are really proud to be the first in Italy to include MGA Games, a real giant of online gaming, among our suppliers, and to be the first to bring its sought-after specialties to the Italian market.

“We are sure that this new partnership will further distinguish our offer, the most complete in the Italian gaming industry.”

The Italian move comes after MGA Games continued its international expansion earlier this month as it arrived in the Dutch online gaming market alongside Fair Play Casino

The operator, one of the first group’s to gain a licence for the market and debuting upon the opening of the country’s legalised online gambling market on October 1, 2022, gained an array of igaming offerings.

The integration of titles was undertaken via the Games Global platform, with the initial launch featuring a selection of 10 games that included three and five-reel as well as Megaways.

ORYX Gaming has entered into a partnership with Island Luck, securing its entry into the Bahaman gambling market in the process.

The Bragg Gaming Group brand will equip the Bahama’s largest operator with exclusive content developed by its in-house studios and premium partners.

In addition, Bragg expects to experience success in the Bahaham’s due to the player base in the Caribbean country being of a “similar demographic” to the US and Canada.

Chris Looney, Chief Commercial Officer at Bragg, remarked: “Taking our content live in the Bahamas so shortly after receiving regulatory approval is a fantastic achievement and highlights the ability we have to scale our RGS into new markets as well as the popularity of our exclusive games portfolio.

“Island Luck is a great partner for us with local know-how and a growing customer base and we are very excited about introducing our content in the Bahamas for the first time together with them. This is just the first partnership of many as we look forward to establishing ourselves as the premier supplier on the island.”

Bragg – which has already consolidated a position in the Americas via a licence in Ontario, with additional applications underway in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan – anticipates wider targeting of audiences in the region.

The firm’s entry into the Bahamas is its second market debut of the month, following on from an agreement with Microgame last week, which saw the developer launch in Italy.

Meanwhile, for Island Luck, the deal bolsters its current offering in the Bahamas, where the firm operates as a provider of casino, lottery and sports betting products.

Cézár Veres, Chief Business Development Officer at Island Luck, added: “As soon as we heard about ORYX’s content receiving the green light in the Bahamas we knew we wanted to partner with them and bring their content to our customers.

“With a diverse games library from some really talented studios, our ability to offer their content strengthens our impressive portfolio offerings and helps us continue to be the operator of choice to local players.”

Microgame has partnered with Green Jade Games in a move that expands its online casino content output in Italy.

The agreement will see new titles enter its games catalogue from Green Jade’s portfolio, and will allow the service provider to obtain the exclusive supply of titles.

“Microgame are the Italian market,” exclaimed Mark Taffler, CCO of Green Jade Games. “They have experience, the best network and great, great people. Our commitment to Microgame by giving them our arcade content exclusively is very exciting.

“The Italian market is mature. It’s stable and we’re looking forward to entering.”

In addition, the partnership will allow Microgame to utilise Green Jade’s products and expand into arcade games, a stable of the latter’s catalogue, that the provider noted “represents a real turning point” to meet the demands of the Italian market and acquire a new segment of players.

Marco Castaldo, CEO of Microgame, stated: “This new partnership allows us to always maintain a high level of our offer, the most complete in the Italian gaming industry, and to obtain the exclusive supply of Green Jade’s arcade games capable of attracting the attention of the Italian market.”

The strengthening of its Italian offering comes in the same week as Microgame agreed a deal with Bragg Gaming Group, a move that the latter claimed was “another watershed moment” as it entered “one of Europe’s largest and most established online market”

This saw the group’s Oryx Gaming entity agree to distribute its content with Italy-based gaming platform Microgame, which Bragg underscores will enable it to reach “numerous local operators in the country”.

Bragg Gaming Group has heaped praise on “another watershed moment,” after agreeing to enter “one of Europe’s largest and most established online markets” alongside Microgame.

This has seen the group’s Oryx Gaming entity agree to distribute its content with Italy-based gaming platform Microgame, which Bragg underscores will enable it to reach “numerous local operators in the country”.

Under the terms of what Bragg calls a “milestone partnership,” Egyptian Magic, the debut title from Bragg’s recently launched Atomic Slot Lab studio, will feature in the selection of games made available to local players.

Furthermore, an initial selection of titles from Oryx’s exclusive content portfolio will go live via Microgame, with more games set to follow. Initial exclusive content titles will include Respins of Amun-Re, Golden Nights and Royal Seven.

Marco Castaldo, CEO at Microgame, said: “Our goal is to bring first-class entertainment to our players and with Oryx content’s proven popularity, we are thrilled to be the first partner to introduce it in Italy.”

This becomes the latest strand of Bragg’s European expansion, with the group’s Italian development following recent launches across what the company says were “launches in several key territories,” including the UK, Netherlands, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland.

Chris Looney, Chief Commercial Officer at Bragg, said: “This agreement that will see us enter Italy, the second biggest online market in Europe, is another watershed moment for us and comes several months after we took our content live in the UK, Europe’s largest igaming market, underlining our commitment to expand in large and established regulated markets.

“Our partnering with Microgame, Italy’s largest B2B provider, gives us access to numerous leading operators in the country, which will enable us to reach a wide local audience from the outset. It’s an exciting time for Bragg as we continue our growth trajectory in new markets with more expansion still to come.”
