As a number of new igaming titles grace the CasinoBeats inbox, sit back and get to grips with a select few new slot games in one handy bite-size chunk.

Twin Spin Megaways – NetEnt

NetEnt has combined “one of its most successful slots with the industry’s top mechanic,” as the developer introduces Twin Spin Megaways.

The six-reel title sees the return of the Twin Reel feature, which has been complemented by NetEnt’s Avalanche mechanic and Megaways, on licence from Big Time Gaming.

With old-Vegas aesthetics, including retro-style graphics and jazz sounds, the feature combination adds an extra twist to the game as the number of symbols on the reels is randomly chosen on each spin, reaching up to 117649 Megaways.

“Twin Spin is a signature title in our portfolio which continues to attract players years after release, so with the addition of the Megaways and Avalanche features, we expect this title will be one of our biggest releases of the year.

“The look and feel of the original have been replicated perfectly to match the excitement of the enhanced gameplay, making Twin Spin Megaways a headline game that will no doubt draw in the crowds for our operator partners.” – Andy Whitworth, Chief Commercial Officer at NetEnt.

Rise of Athena – Play’n Go

The latest Play’n Go slot release is introduced as part of a double debut, with Rise of Athena showcased alongside Viking Runecraft Bingo.

Rise of Athena, is a 5×3 video slot based on the mythological Greek goddess of wisdom and featuring various symbols from her lore, including Athena, Pegasus and her owl Glaukopis.

The wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except scatter, and appears only on reels two, three, and four. Each wild provides a x1, x2 or x3 multiplier. Multipliers accumulate when more than one wild is present on a payline – resulting in a maximum multiplier of x27.

If the player lands three or more scatter symbols the game awards 12 free spins. Wild symbols are sticky, until their multiplier runs out. The multiplier on each wild reduces by one between each spin.

Once no multiplier remains, the respective wild symbol is removed from the reels. Additional free spins cannot be won; the scatter symbol is not present in free spins.

“This isn’t the first time we’ve had multiple releases on the same day; we have built ourselves into a position where it is well within our capacity to deliver more than one high-quality title into the market simultaneously.

“Of course, these are two different games giving two different experiences, giving more new options for operators to entertain their players, and that’s what it’s all about.” – Martin Zettergren, Play’n Go CPO.

Wheel of Wonders – Push Gaming

Wheel of Wonders, which is out now following an exclusive launch with operator Casumo, features an expanding grid that starts out at 6×3 in the base game and boasts potential to grow to 6×6, with up to 46,656 ways to win.

The expanding grid is designed to allow players to experience “the thrill of progression and anticipation with every spin” as they hunt down instant wins and unique features.

The slot is said to include big win potential in its base game via the inclusion of win multipliers along with its free games. Upon fully expanding the reels, players will be immersed into the Wheel of Wonders feature, filled with progressive multipliers, level-up possibilities and the retrigger meter which fills with every win, granting more spins and bigger multipliers.

“Every game we deliver to operators and their players has to bring something new to the table, and Wheel of Wonders does just that.

“Created to bring about another level of entertainment in slot games, with a base game full of features that leads into an free spins feature that has huge potential – we are confident that this slot will prove to be popular among a wide range of demographics.

“Not only across a variety of markets, but especially for slot enthusiasts that are looking for something new.” – James Marshall, CEO at Push Gaming.

Beast Saga – Booongo

Set in an ornate temple in the Far East, Booongo’s 5×4, 50-payline Beast Saga includes stacked symbols as heroes battle on the reels.

Yin and Yang symbols act as wilds across the gameplay, with the fearsome Dragon Beast the highest-paying character. Three or more Scatter symbols will trigger the free spins mode, with 10 spins building excitement as stacked reels can lead to larger payouts.

“Creating quality diverse titles is vitally important in our design process and we’re thrilled to meet our expectations with the launch Beast Saga.

“Within its beautifully crafted setting, stacked symbols mean any spin can lead to a lucrative win and the mystical Beast rewards players upon the reels. We look forward to seeing how our latest release is received by our customers and fans alike.” – Yuriy Muratov, head of account management and business development at Booongo.

It’s been a busy start to the week for slot launches, with a number of new entrants gracing the CasinoBeats inbox. So, sit back and get to grips with a select few in one handy bite-size chunk.

Microgaming – Banana Odyssey

Soar through space to the Banana Planet with Microgaming’s latest slot entry, developed by Slingshot Studios, the creators of Zombie Hoard and Cash of Kingdoms.

The five-by-three reel, 10-payline online slot follows two astro-chimps as they embark upon a new mission, featuring free spins, expanding wilds and respins, and paying out both ways.

James Buchanan, director of global operations at Microgaming, commented: “We always strive to deliver a diverse, quality content portfolio to meet the needs of our operators, and Banana Odyssey is testament to this.

“Originally conceptualised by Twin during one of Microgaming’s interactive games concept days with operators, and following a two-month exclusivity period with the operator, the game is now available to our wider customer base.

“Slingshot Studios have done a tremendous job creating an energetic, fast-paced slot, successfully combining popular game mechanics of respins, expanding wilds and free spins.

“Engrossed with aesthetically pleasing visuals and a foot-tapping soundtrack, Banana Odyssey is a captivating new addition to Microgaming’s library of games.”

NetEnt – Imperial Riches

Set in a Chinese garden among a world of splendour and serenity, NetEnt is aiming to take players on an exciting journey to the Far-East.

The five-reel, three-row slot also features the firm’s Avalanche concept, where in both the main game and during free falls feature, symbols fall into position onto the reels instead of spinning.

During the feature, a winning bet line triggers an Avalanche, where all symbols in winning combinations, apart from scatter symbols, light up and disappear to continue until there are no more wins.

“This game is packed with features. We are continuing our jackpot successes this year with Imperial Riches but with our Avalanche mechanic. The three-stage, nested bonuses give players a chance to experience the free falls game, collecting jewels from wins for entry into another coin win feature, and then a Jackpot bonus game.

“The chance to win one of five realistically-priced jackpots and the beautiful, authentic Asian artwork and theme makes this game speak the promise of fortune for players across the board,” noted Bryan Upton, NetEnt director of games.

Push Gaming – Razor Shark

Development studio Push Gaming submerges players in an underwater world where treasures can be unlocked thanks to the game’s razor reveal and free spins features.

Those that take the plunge will enter an scene where sharks roam the reels, with players swimming among them in search of hidden riches which can be accessed via the game’s four features, as mystery stacks and increasing multipliers join the aforementioned duo.

James Marshall, CEO of Push Gaming, stated: “Razor Shark is a game with huge depth, offering exciting win potential from base game through to its wildly progressive free spins.

“We’ve introduced unique features such as a nudging reveal symbol and ‘razor reveal’ instant win prizes, adding new levels of anticipation and excitement to our renowned volatile and thrilling catalogue of games”.

Nolimit City – Pixies vs Pirates

The Malta based software provider has debuted its latest igaming entry, with Pixies vs Pirates promising enhanced excitement via the introduction of two new mechanics.

Released globally to all partners, the games strives to give players a “unique experience” via the 729 fixed ways and 6×3 reel game.

xNudge, lauded as the signature nudging stacked wild, increases its multiplier with every nudge, but via the new introduction xWays landing a relevant symbol on screen can randomly award a one that may duplicate to increase the amount of ways won.

Landing both mechanics on the same reel offers a multiplier increase of up to six times.

Per Lindheimer, product owner at Nolimit City, said: “Pixies vs Pirates is our first release with our new xWays feature mechanic, merged with the previous smash hit mechanic xNudge!

“The two together can create thrilling spins with huge potential! With stunning graphics, especially in mobile portrait mode, this game will keep you on your toes both in main game and the free spins mode.”

In addition, Co-Founder Winston Lee is becoming Co-CEO, a position he will share with current CEO James Marshall.

Bentley has previously worked with the igaming supplier on several strategic projects over the past six months. He also brings experience from working with brands such as Ladbrokes, Genting and the Gauselmann Group.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time consulting with the incredible team at Push so far and I’m honoured to have been offered the opportunity to take on such an exciting permanent role,” commented Bentley at the time of his appointment.

“Push Gaming is a brand that I have long admired and is a company with fantastic scope for future growth- so I’m thrilled to be a part of that mission. Exciting updates are currently being rolled out, and we have more big plans in store as we approach the end of the year and enter 2025.’’

Push Gaming has announced a reorganisation of its C-level executives team with the appointment of Andy Bentley as Chief Operating Officer.

As COO, Bentley will manage Push Gaming’s marketing, project delivery and opportunities following the company’s acquisition by LeoVegas Group’s investment arm, LeoVentures, a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International in September last year.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time consulting with the incredible team at Push so far and I’m honoured to have been offered the opportunity to take on such an exciting permanent role,” commented Bentley.

“Push Gaming is a brand that I have long admired and is a company with fantastic scope for future growth- so I’m thrilled to be a part of that mission. Exciting updates are currently being rolled out, and we have more big plans in store as we approach the end of the year and enter 2025.’’

As co-CEO, Lee will continue to oversee Push Gaming’s legal, compliance, finance and live operations. Meanwhile, Marshall will have oversight of games and product development, people and culture, and sales and account management.

“Andy has been working with us for the past six months on some of our strategic projects for the US and Brazil, so while he’s been a regular face for us here, we want to officially welcome him on board,” added Marshall.

“He joins with brilliant experience from senior positions in B2C operations and I couldn’t think of anyone better to help drive us on to the next chapter of growth. As we move into the upcoming year, we have ambitious plans in place.

“With Andy joining our team, I am confident that we will build our momentum, launching a range of new games in Q1 and further developing our global partnerships.”
