The Entain Foundation US has launched the Gamble Responsibly America app, lauded as the “first of its kind” and produced in partnership with Epic Risk Management and RG24seven.

Praising the introduction as “another milestone” for the not-for-profit foundation, the free app, available in the App Store and Google Play Store, features a series of educational resources and tools to help and support anyone facing potential issues with problem gambling.

There is no requirement on people to register, and the app is unbranded, positioning its as an educative resource with no commercial benefit to Entain or BetMGM, the US business it jointly owns with MGM Resorts.

Martin Lycka, Entain senior vice president for American regulatory affairs and responsible gambling and trustee of the Entain Foundation US, noted: “We are incredibly proud to be launching the Gamble Responsibly America application as our commitment to responsible betting and gaming is unmatched within the industry.

“Through this first-of-its-kind app, we are determined to continue helping individuals by providing the resources and programs necessary to ensure everyone is betting and gaming responsibly.”

Through the app, the Entain Foundation US aims to extend information and services to underpin safe play as sports betting and gaming expands rapidly across the country.

Gamble Responsibly America will offer assets and information to help people gamble responsibly and provide guidance for those struggling, or who would like to understand the behavioural patterns or symptoms associated, with problem gambling.

It is the first free app to do this, and available from the outset in both English and Spanish, to maximise its accessibility to all communities in America.

Key features of the app will include limits and tools, a self-assessment quiz, a gambling diary, behavioral callouts, a 24/7 live chat function as well as a range of educational features and resources.

The National Council on Problem Gambling has documented the launch of ‘Operation Responsible Gambling,’ which has been done with the support of the Entain Foundation US and RG24seven.

The initiative is designed to assist members of the military community in gambling responsibly, and also to ensure they have options to seek help if they present with symptoms of gambling problems.

The first two videos feature stories from veterans in their own words, talking about their gambling issues during their service and the road to recovery through the Veterans Administration gambling services.

Keith Whyte, NCPG executive director, stated: “We know that active-duty personnel and veterans face higher risks for gambling problems so Operation Responsible Gambling provides access to help, information and veterans’ video testimonials aimed specially at the military community. The information will be available on social media and a micro-website.”

Adding: “The research is clear that members of the military community are at higher risk for gambling problems, yet military community members may not know what to do or where to go. We want to make sure they know there is hope and help available.”

Operation Responsible Gambling is funded by a donation from Entain Foundation US. Martin Lycka, Entain’s SVP for American regulatory affairs and responsible gambling and trustee of the Entain Foundation US, said, “Entain offers the most comprehensive services for at-risk gamblers around the world.

“We see a special obligation to active-duty members and military veterans who volunteer to serve their country, often in far-away places and in dangerous circumstances.

“We want to help ensure that their gambling entertainment is fun and safe with the knowledge that there are experts and services available to help if they have a problem.”

Wendy Anderson, CEO of RG24seven, which provided production and technical support for the videos and overall project, noted: “We are honoured to be helping to provide responsible gambling education to those who put their lives on the line to protect us.”

Video-based responsible gaming training platform RG24seven has stressed its pride, after rolling-out a partnership with gambling blocking software provider Gamban.

This will see the pair initially collaborate to video and produce a training course on self-exclusion for gaming employees. Titled ‘The Journey to Self-Exclusion,’ and presented by Gamban, the course will be providing important information for RG24seven’s trainees on all aspects of self-exclusion for online gamblers

“RG24seven’s mission is to provide the most up-to-date, innovative responsible gaming training to the industry while diverting funds back into research and education, where it matters the most,” stated Wendy Anderson, CEO RG24seven.

“We look forward to a successful partnership with Gamban and continuing to serve the gaming industry through responsible gaming training.”

This becomes the latest US-based alliance for Gamban, with RG24seven following partnerships inked alongside New Jersey Council on Compulsive Gambling, Kindred Group, and FanDuel, this year.

Jack Symons, CEO and co-founder of Gamban, explained “We are very excited to be working with RG24seven to begin creating awareness and understanding of the need for an effective and long-lasting support infrastructure for those experiencing the effects of problem gambling throughout the United States. We see this as the beginning of creating a sustainable player protection model for the gaming industry in the United States.”

Adding: “Gamban is working with multiple operators in the United States to enhance their responsible gaming offering, having recently partnered with FanDuel & Unibet to make Gamban software available free of charge to all customers who self-exclude via their platforms.

“The offering will support inter-state self-exclusion from all gambling platforms for those who choose to opt out from online gambling.”

RG24seven has rolled-out a partnership with the National Indian Gaming Association relating to the provision of tribal specific, video-based, responsible gaming training to its members.

This comes after the video-based responsible gaming training platform recently announced its introduction, as well as outlining a vision to provide a range of safer gambling training while giving back to partners for research and prevention initiatives.

Ernie Stevens, Jr., chairman at the National Indian Gaming Association, commented, “We are proud to be taking a proactive stance on responsible gaming and we are partnering with RG24seven to do this.

“Education and training of our tribal employees is a critical component of our responsible gaming strategy and we are encouraging all members to provide this important training to their employees.”

Furthermore, Jodi DiLascio has also been welcomed to the ever growing RG24seven team, joining the group after spending ten years leading BMM Testlabs’ tribal gaming division.

DiLascio will focus on providing RG24seven’s compliance-grade virtual training to tribal gaming enterprises, as well as looking to elevate their own responsible gaming programs as they move into new gaming verticals such as sports betting, mobile and cashless wagering.

DiLascio stated: “We are thrilled to partner with the National Indian Gaming Association to not only provide responsible gaming training to their members, but also to be able to contribute to their mission. I look forward to working with the National Indian Gaming Association members to provide this important industry training.”

This latest collaboration follows a collaboration inked last week with GVC Holdings, which sees the firm provide responsible gaming training for US staff.

Wendy Anderson, CEO RG24seven, added on the group’s latest partnership: “I’m so pleased to welcome Jodi DiLascio to our RG24seven team. Jodi’s knowledge of Tribal gaming is second to none and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. It’s also a tremendous honour to be able to serve the National Indian Gaming Association through responsible gaming training.”

Video-based responsible gaming training platform RG24seven has announced its introduction, with the group outlining a vision to provide a range of safer gambling training while giving back to partners for research and prevention initiatives.

Unveiling a collaboration with GVC Holdings to providing responsible gaming training for US staff, RG24seven aims to ensure multi-jurisdictional compliance and is configured to role-based needs.

Wendy Anderson, CEO of RG24seven, explained: “As the global gaming industry grows and evolves, every single jurisdiction that has not already done so, will require organizations to provide responsible gaming training.

“Just as important, our growing workforce of millennials and gen Zs are demanding that the places they work and frequent as patrons are good corporate citizens. Compliance grade and certified, RG24seven is setting the standard for RG training worldwide.

“We have brought together professionals from all parts of our industry to provide insight and intelligence on responsible gaming. The end product is a fantastic collaboration of short and compelling videos that are the basis for RG24seven’s interactive training.

“Importantly a portion of not just our profit, but our revenue, is being returned to our partners for responsible gaming training and education. Supporting ongoing RG research is key to our mission.”

Furthermore, as part of its partnership with GVC, Martin Lycka, the group’s director of regulatory affairs, will also assume the position of chairman to the RG24seven advisory board.

Meeting three times a year to discuss content, contributors, partnerships and charitable distribution, advisory board attendees have included ICRG, NIGA, AGA and NCPG,

Lycka stated: “It’s vital that our employees know how responsible gaming can affect our patrons as well as our businesses. RG24seven is enabling GVC to provide the best in class RG training to our employees.

“It’s so simple and easy to use and, for compliance purposes, we are able to track, measure and monitor that our staff have not only taken the training, but that they understand the concepts of responsible gaming.”

Anderson concluded: “RG24seven’s mission is to provide the most up-to-date, innovative responsible gaming training to the industry while diverting funds back into research and education, where it matters the most. We look forward to a successful partnership with GVC and continuing to serve the gaming industry through responsible gaming training.”
