SBC will light up Rio de Janeiro with the highly anticipated INFINITY Rio party, happening on 27 February at the 2025 edition of SBC Summit Rio

With Grammy award-winning producer Afrojack at the helm and Brazilian house duo Dubdogz bringing their signature energy, this electrifying event promises an unforgettable night of music and excitement for the event attendees.

“INFINITY was born in Lisbon, where we kicked off our first EDM festival with top-tier DJs; Don Diablo, Miss Monique, and Darude. Now, we’re bringing that momentum to Rio with INFINITY Rio, taking things to a whole new level,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC.

In the gaming industry, connections are everything, and INFINITY Rio will provide a unique platform to meet the game-changers driving progress in Brazil. As an event organizer, SBC is known for elevating attendee experiences with VIP treatment, combining business opportunities with world-class networking. By integrating music and entertainment—longtime inspirations for gaming—into the closing party, SBC will offer an event finale that truly captures the energy of the gaming world.

EDM icon Afrojack rose to stardom with “Take Over Control,” becoming a key figure in the genre. Known for collaborations with Beyoncé, Pitbull, and Will.i.am, his accolades include spots on Rolling Stone’s “50 Most Important People in EDM” and Forbes’ “30 Under 30.” Moreover, the DJ’s 2020 track “All Night” climbed to the top of US dance radio charts and earned over 40 million streams, cementing his reputation as an EDM powerhouse.

Sojmark commented: “Having Afrojack headlining the first INFINITY Rio really shows just how massive SBC Summit Rio is going to be. Our delegates are in for an EDM festival experience that mixes world-class entertainment with top-tier networking.

“To give it that special Brazilian vibe, we’re also bringing in Dubdogz, an incredible homegrown duo that is taking the global scene by storm. We couldn’t miss the chance to showcase Brazil’s own talent at an event that’s all about Brazil!”

Dubdogz, Brazil’s twin sensations Lucas and Marcos Ruback are known for their dynamic blend of Brazilian Bass and House, chart-topping hits and a devoted fanbase. Among the few Brazilian acts on the “DJ Mag Top 100,” they’ve performed at iconic stages like Tomorrowland, EDC, and Ushuaïa Ibiza. Their track “Infinity,” a collaboration with Bhaskar, achieved Double Platinum status and surpassed 126 million Spotify streams.

The Riocentro Super Stage, a fresh addition to SBC Summit Rio, will shed its conference atmosphere to host the party, with Afrojack and Dubdogz setting the tone for the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, starting the next day on the 28th of February.

“We’ve timed SBC Summit Rio 2025 perfectly so attendees can dive into business and then roll straight into the Carnival. With Afrojack and Dubdogz lighting up the stage, the Carnival kickoff is going to be epic,” Sojmark added.

In October, SBC announced superstar DJ Alok as the headliner for the INFINITY party in Rio. However, Alok has had to step down due to personal reasons. The SBC CEO commented: “Unfortunately, Alok won’t be able to join us at SBC Summit Rio 2025 as originally planned due to personal reasons. We’re as disappointed as you are, but these things happen, and we totally understand.

“We’ve worked quickly to ensure the INFINITY Rio party still delivers the electric energy and unforgettable vibe you’re expecting. With Afrojack and Dubdogz taking the stage, we’re confident they’re the perfect replacements to make the night truly spectacular.”

SBC Summit Rio has quickly established itself as the must-attend event for Brazil and has moved to Riocentro, one of Latin America’s largest convention centres, for its 2025 edition. February’s event is projected to attract more than 15,000 attendees.

Alongside this growth, the introduction of the Super Stage will elevate the attendee experience, while the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit brands—both of which debuted in Lisbon—are set to make their Rio debut.

In only its second year, SBC Summit Rio will return in 2025 with a bold move to Riocentro, the largest convention center in Latin America, a testament to its phenomenal debut last March.

The 2025 edition of the event is projected to attract 15,000 attendees, including 6,000 operators and 1,500 affiliates, highlighting its swift emergence as the go-to event for industry professionals eager to explore the vast opportunities within the Brazilian gambling market.

Scheduled for February 25-27, 2025, the summit is strategically timed to flow into Rio’s iconic carnival, providing international attendees with an extraordinary cultural experience.

The expanded venue enabled SBC to increase its exhibitor and sponsor count to 400 while introducing two new concurrent events. After debuting at this year’s SBC Summit in Lisbon, the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit will also be featured at SBC Summit Rio, this time with a sharper geographic focus. Each summit will have its own dedicated space on the exhibition floor and conference stages, ensuring a more focused and efficient experience.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC, said: “SBC Summit Rio will be the most significant and largest event in Brazil’s gaming and sports betting industry.

“It’s the first major event following Brazil’s new licensing and regulation changes, and only in its second year of running, it’s relocating to Latin America’s largest convention center, with attendance expected to triple. The possibilities here are endless, and if you want a piece of the pie, you really cannot afford to miss it.”

Relocating SBC Summit Rio to Riocentro was a decision influenced not only by the need for additional space but also by the venue’s outstanding facilities and its legacy as a host of prestigious events like the Olympics.

The summit will occupy 70,000 square meters, featuring the renowned Amphitheatre for the Super Stage, which will host keynote sessions, and a festival-style closing party, INFINITY Rio, along with a sprawling 40,000-square-meter exhibition floor.

Nestled in the Barra da Tijuca district, known for its beaches, shopping hubs, and exceptional dining, Riocentro combines premier facilities with an inviting setting. Attendees will also find convenience in the adjacent 4-star, 360-room Lagune Barra Hotel or one of the 15 nearby 4-star hotels within walking distance.

On the conference side, the agenda promises a deep, immersive dive into Brazil’s rapidly changing gambling landscape, guided by a stellar lineup of over 250 expert speakers. It will attract top-tier speakers from leading operators, affiliates, regulators, payment providers, game studios, influencers, and sports team representatives, offering a blend of high-level thought leadership, cutting-edge tech insights, and strategic market analysis.

Several prominent industry leaders are set to appear at the event, including Alex Fonseca, CEO Brazil at Superbet; Andre Gelfi, Managing Partner Brazil at Betsson and President of the Instituto Brasileiro de Jogo Responsável (IBJR); Bruno Guilherme, CEO of Viradabet; Fernando Garita, CEO of Betsul; Fellipe Fraga, Chief Business Officer at Estrelabet; Iuri Castro, a specialist in lottery and betting regulation; Ludovico Calvi, Honorary President of United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS); Livia Troise, CEO of Betmais; Marcos Sabiá, CEO of Galera.bet; Monara Shainny, CEO of Segurobet; and Paula Braytne, Chief Compliance Officer at Galera.bet.

Attendees will engage with the most pressing topic—regulation—as they explore the latest gambling laws and the strategic moves reshaping the market. The conference will also cover how AI can strengthen brands, the importance of ethical and localized marketing, and the evolving payment systems critical to success.

Offering a perfect mix of business and entertainment, the evening networking events will be hosted in iconic locations. A key highlight is the exclusive party at Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, Botafogo’s legendary home, providing guests the opportunity to network while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of a world-class football stadium.

“This event is all about bringing together top executives from Brazil and beyond to shape the future of the industry in this amazing country. Our gatherings are famous for attracting key decision-makers, and with the market still in its early stages, the opportunity to connect with these leaders can be a real game changer,” Sojmark added.

A number of findings have caused Platipus to slightly alter its strategy to make waves in the Brazilian market, said CBDO Vladyslav Garanko, while Chile and Peru are firmly on the radar for potential expansion across the wider Latin American region.

These comments came on the showfloor at the recent SBC Summit Rio, and form the basis of the culminating chapter of a two-part CasinoBeats special alongside the igaming developer.

Following an array of issues being tackled, such as the white and black markets and possible complications that could impact Brazil as regulation seemingly looms on the horizon, Garanko switches focus to look at how best to appeal to players across the country.

A lack of localised content

During a recent finale in London’s ExCeL, Garanko briefly touched upon a perceived lack of Spanish speaking content in gambling, in addition to questioning whether there is a demand for such titles and if these could indeed perform if, and when, live with an operator.

In short, Garanko voiced resounding agreement when quizzed on if findings received by the Platipus backs up these previous comments, with the group’s Brazilian roadmap potentially altered as a result.

Yes, there is a certain lack of Spanish speaking content,” he began. “It is not as great as we thought it would be. But there is still a significant gap that we can squeeze in.

“It is going to impact our portfolio and roadmap as we will focus on the new types of games to achieve a market fit.”

Citing the popularity of pachinkos in Japan, Garanko moved on to suggest there is a specific type of land-based gaming content that is prevalent across the LatAm ecosystem that Platipus is looking to utilise within the digital environment.

“It appears that we will have to adjust some themes that we have initially planned for,” he noted.

“Let’s just say that the classical themes that we developed for LatAm originally do not seem to be as popular as we anticipated.”

Player preferences

As is customary with any potential new market entry, a series of tests and research is crucial to ensure that those initial steps have the desired impact, and ensure a solid foundation from which to build.

Despite acknowledging that the group has taken an educated guess on what themes and mechanics would be interesting to players within the nation, a series of findings have thrown up some surprises for Platipus.

“For example, we were looking at carnivals and other music/party related themes” Garanko continued. “Now, interestingly, as we run our short surveys and talked to local experts, it turned out that out guess was somewhat off the mark.

“Instead, what we found was that players preferred, among other things, our older games with temples or the Amazonian rainforest.”

Despite acknowledging that further changes are expected to the Platipus roadmap, Garanko reiterated the importance of being on site to gain an indication of current trends, rather than aiming to gain an understanding from back in Europe.

“We are changing approximately 15 per cent of the roadmap that was created,” he said. “If that doesn’t sound like a lot, that’s just a misconception because it actually is. Despite most adjustments will only focus on graphic it will still take a considerable effort to put into works.

“That was unexpected. Very unexpected. But that is why we are here. We are here to test the theories, we are here to acquire knowledge and we are here to adjust our roadmap.”

LatAm: A new dawn

Despite adopting a one country approach during an extensive conversation on the Rio De Janeiro show floor, the discussion drew to a close with a net being cast across the wider area.

“We have a number of points of entry” Garanko concluded, with it recognised that “there is really a lot of money here” with gambling “essentially being part of the lifestyle”. In the immediate future, a pair of jurisdictions form the primary targets for the supplier.

First of all, we are looking at Chile,” he concluded. “That is going to be a quite interesting market. Then Peru definitely showed some strong growth, so it’s the next one in sight. These are the main points of entry.

“The Latin market is very unusual. Granted, most markets are unique, still it has a very particular feature. There is money in the system,  but you need to find it. Individual players are not as lucrative as they are in other regions, but on the whole, the market is very profitable.”

Adding: “We have a number of partners who are helping us with that. It’s still going to take a considerable effort to expand into this particular market.”

In a dynamic entrance into Rio, SBC‘s inaugural Brazil-focused event exceeded all forecasts, drawing in a staggering turnout of 4,000 attendees — surpassing the anticipated 3,000 — and signaling a promising start to the future expansion plans disclosed during the event.

Held from March 5-7, SBC Summit Rio served as a deep dive into the Brazilian market during a pivotal moment of opportunity, spurred by Brazil’s recent approval of online gambling regulation. The Summit played a protagonistic role in creating a platform for senior executives to unite and discuss the future trajectory of the industry in the country, blending local insights with global perspectives.

Featuring over 70 exhibitors, the show floor at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center was abuzz with activity throughout the event, which sold out well ahead of its scheduled dates. This strong demand underscored the imperative to transition SBC Summit Rio to its new venue, Riocentro, for next year’s edition, allowing for the accommodation of over 10,000 delegates and 400 exhibitors and sponsors.

Exhibitor contentment was evident, as indicated by an initial Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 54, with the overwhelming majority of 2024 exhibitors already confirming their participation for the 2025 edition. The show floor featured prominent international suppliers including Amusnet, BetConstruct, Digitain, IDnow, Oddin.gg, Pragmatic Play, and others.

Victor Arias, Vice President LatAm at Pragmatic Play detailed his experience exhibiting at the event: “For me, it is always a joy to participate in an event organized by SBC, and this one in Rio was no exception. I left very satisfied because I was able to meet with friends and colleagues and analyze the possibilities offered by a market as relevant as Brazil.

“Without a doubt, this opportunity was fundamental for Pragmatic Play, which is experiencing continuous growth in the country. These days were extremely intense, with important commercial agreements and a stand that was filled with visitors who enjoyed the environment and the experience that Pragmatic Play provided.”

The operator sector witnessed notable participation, comprising 30 per cent of the total attendee numbers, from key players such as Aposta Ganha, Betano, Betsson, Esportes da Sorte, EstrelaBet, Galera.Bet, Rei do Pitaco, Superbet and Vai De Bob, among others. Feedback gathered from the post-event survey revealed a commendable NPS of 62 among operators, reflecting the positive reception of the event from the segment. Additionally, a diverse range of operators participated as exhibitors, indicating their proactive approach to market penetration.

“Timing couldn’t be more impeccable; our recent entry into Brazil in December aligned perfectly with this event. SBC Summit Rio offered an exceptional opportunity for us to leverage the existing momentum and establish vital connections. With a notable turnout and invaluable networking sessions with prominent figures in the Brazilian sector, the event delivered on all fronts,” said Alex Fonseca, CEO Brazil, Superbet.

“For a European company venturing into this new territory, the knowledge acquired and relationships forged with affiliates and suppliers will be pivotal in shaping our strategy.”

The projected affiliate count of 300 was also surpassed, with 447 affiliates in attendance, marking a significant 49 per cent increase over the initial target. This sets a promising precedent for the launch of the dedicated Affiliate Leaders Summit in Rio in 2025, providing a platform for affiliation and marketing professionals to deliberate on traffic acquisition strategies in the burgeoning market.

Clever Advertising COO Marcos Oliveira commented: “SBC truly outdid themselves with this event — the diverse representation of operators, both local and international, was fantastic to see, and the connections we made will help us set a strong foothold in Brazil, marking a crucial step forward for our business.

“SBC Summit Rio was about learning, taking action, and making things happen. For the 2025 edition, I am very pleased to support and sponsor the Affiliate Leaders Summit  — adding a dedicated summit is definitely a step in the right direction.”

Zé Roberto, the celebrated Brazilian former footballer, kicked off the event with a keynote that drew a full house, initiating a highly productive conference segment featuring 100 influential voices in line with SBC’s renowned standards. Furthermore, the event witnessed the official launch of the Associação de Mulheres da Indústria Gaming (AMIG), underscoring SBC’s commitment to empowering women within the gaming sector.

One of the networking highlights beyond the exhibition floor throughout the event’s three-day duration was an evening gathering at the Museu do Amanhã. This event welcomed Rio de Janeiro governor Cláudio Castro, who engaged in discussions with organizers, exploring the profound impact that events of this magnitude have on the industry and Brazil’s economy.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, added: “I wouldn’t exactly label the turnout as surprising; it was evident from the outset that this event held great promise for several reasons: the timing, the choice of Rio as the host city, and the quality associated with SBC.

“Nevertheless, I’m genuinely delighted to have had the opportunity to host both the Brazilian and international industry at our debut event in Rio. The conference provided much-needed insights from top experts, and the expo floor was teeming with activity. I’d dare say that the entire Brazilian industry was in attendance. Thank you all for your support. Let’s all work on making great things happen in 2025.”

The opening day of the SBC Summit Rio provided an exploration in how operators can engage with players in an authentic way.

In a challenging market with influencers, streamers and alternative channels, an Affiliate Leaders panel took to the stage as part of the Rivalo-sponsored Marketing and Affiliation track, to dive deeper into the best avenues for collaboration.

Simon Hovmand-Stilling, CEO for South America for Better Collective, emphasised the importance of the industry showing the market ‘respect’ when looking to capitalise on what is rightly, and widely, hailed as a huge opportunity.

He stated: “It’s definitely worth the investment of having feet on the ground”, which became a common theme throughout the session.

Taking a slightly different approach, Thomas Carvalhaes, Senior Business Development Manager for LatAm at GR8 Tech, warned the industry that Brazilian consumers will take your word, and hold you accountable.

“If you say you’re going to be paying them withdrawals in less than an hour, and you don’t do that, they’re going to bombard you with complaints”

“Don’t lie to them. Don’t make any promises you cannot keep. That’s it,” he commented.

“Fastest payments, fastest withdrawals. If you say you’re going to be paying them withdrawals in less than an hour, and you don’t do that, they’re going to bombard you with complaints, public complaints, they’re going to bombard you with social networks, rightfully so, because we should not be stating what we cannot deliver.”

As Anastasiia Gepolova, Head of Marketing at Traffic Balance, reiterated a call regarding the critical nature of undertaking a sufficient amount of research, Vanda Silva, Chief Corporate Officer at Clever Advertising, issued a reminder regarding the need for a localised approach. A key topic that was delved into in the earlier stages of the discussion.

As the quartet of panellists were tasked with looking at what operators need to remember when beginning out in a region with particularly high-traffic by moderator Gilda Caldas, Marketing Manager for Brazil at Afiliapub, Hovmand-Stilling reflected on a “steep learning curve” one year after moving from Better Collective’s Danish homeland.

Issuing a reminder that “it’s all about sports”, with football unsurprisingly highlighted, his key advice to operators centred around that of localisation.

“You just need to dive into the culture and do your research on cultural differences so you know how to promote.

“Remember, Brazil is definitely not just one market. Essentially, every state is very different. Their behaviour is very different. The interest of the people in every state is very different,” he noted.

As Silva echoed the comments of her fellow panellist, Gepolova first touched upon the attractive opportunity afforded to affiliates courtesy Brazil due to such a large volume of players.

“You just need to dive into the culture and do your research on cultural differences so you know how to promote. But overall, I think Brazil is a great market,” she advised.

Picking up the baton, Carvalhaes gave his own input on what operators, affiliates and media and marketing companies must keep in mind when pondering the decision to enter the region.

“Do your homework, try your best to understand the local culture. What happens a lot of times that I’ve seen is that operators from overseas come into Brazil, launch their business, Google Translate, put a sombrero on Ronaldinho and say, hey, that’s Brazilian enough,” he said.

He added: “Then they don’t make it. Then you know what? The market’s not good. Is the market not good or you haven’t done your homework? Have you hired local talent that understands the culture and people and makes it relevant to them

SBC has revealed plans to transform its SBC Summit Rio for 2025, with a larger venue, a new date and a far bigger audience.

Building on this week’s sold out event in Brazil, SBC Summit Rio will transfer to Riocentro – the city’s foremost event space – to increase the capacity to 10,000 sports and igaming professionals and no less than 400 exhibitors and sponsors on February 25-27, 2025.

In order to accommodate the growing number of exhibitors, SBC will organize the show floor into dedicated areas for the casino, igaming & sports betting and payments & Fintech professionals, and will introduce the Affiliate Leaders Summit to cater to the thousands of affiliates and marketing delegates expected to attend next year.

After sharing the plans with Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro, who attended this year’s event on Wednesday evening, SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark revealed that the plan to triple the size of the event will solidify SBC Summit Rio 2025 as the biggest industry event in Brazil and the wider Latin American region.

He commented: “Even during the planning stage of the 2024 edition, we knew that this event held promise for further expansion. The rapid sell-out of our first event had made it clear that we needed to accommodate this increased demand.

“In 2025, with plans for over 10,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors and sponsors, we want to provide the ultimate platform for all things igaming and sports betting in Brazil. This development is incredibly exciting for both SBC and the industry, which has supported us in this decision in more ways than we could hope for.”

Set to host the event for at least four years, the new venue provides ample space spanning over 40,000 sqm. From Pavilion 4 to the Arts Pavilion, the amphitheatre, and outdoor food courts and networking spaces, Riocentro enables SBC to host the largest sports betting and igaming event not just in Brazil, but throughout Latin America.

Additionally, the Riocentro offers the 4-star Lagune Barra Hotel onsite and is conveniently located near several hotels within a 4km radius, all offering complimentary shuttle services to the venue, ensuring a frictionless experience for the attendees.

For its conference segment, SBC Summit Rio 2025 will bring together 250 leading industry experts from Brazil and across the globe to share their knowledge, analyze trends, and discuss proactive initiatives to further advance the industry and shape the trajectory of Brazil’s gambling landscape.

This will include discussions on regulatory frameworks, localization intricacies, sports integrity, emerging sponsorship prospects, and the evolving dynamics among operators, affiliates, regulators, media, service providers, and other stakeholders.

The timing of the show was strategically selected for two primary reasons. Firstly, to establish a dedicated event for Brazil early in the year, enabling attendees to gather valuable market insights to shape their annual activities. Secondly, the show concludes just as the Brazilian Carnival begins in February 2025, offering attendees the opportunity to extend their stay in Rio and partake in this incredible cultural experience after attending SBC Summit Rio.

The inaugural edition of SBC Summit Rio will see 3,000 industry professionals with a keen interest in the Brazilian market convene at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center in Rio de Janeiro from March 5-7

SBC Summit Rio has answered the demands of the industry by being the first event to take place in Brazil in the wake of the region’s upcoming regulation. Serving as Brazil’s senior executive betting & gaming event, SBC Summit Rio will host key industry executives from both regional and international operators, alongside affiliates, suppliers, game studios, and representatives from regulators, media, sports teams and leagues.

The event will act as the ideal hub for in-depth conversations around the burgeoning Brazilian market, discussing regulatory strategies, innovative technologies, and services, whilst also reflecting on Brazil’s journey to regulation and exploring future trends set to evolve the dynamic Brazilian landscape.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “Brazil has caught the attention of many in the industry as a dynamic and flourishing market that holds untold possibilities; we are truly honoured to be the first industry event to be held in Brazil since its regulation. With the regulated market still in its infancy,  SBC will serve as a pivotal platform for all members of the industry to come together to discuss forward-thinking strategies, forge meaningful partnerships and ultimately push the market forward.”

One of the standout features of the event will be the comprehensive conference agenda, which will take place over both core days of the summit. The conference will include four dedicated tracks across two stages and will encompass topics such as leadership, marketing & affiliation, integrity & compliance and innovation.

The first day of the conference (March 6) will feature an exclusive keynote presentation by footballing legend Ze Roberto. With significant contributions to teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and the Brazilian National Team, the ‘High-Performance Strategy‘ keynote promises invaluable insights from one of football’s most iconic figures.

Day two (March 7) will start with a keynote featuring Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, President of the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery (LOTERJ), and Iuri Castro, a representative from the state-owned Brazilian financial services provider CAIXA. The ‘Ask Me Anything – Lottery Edition’ keynote, moderated by Ludovico Calvi, the Honorary President of the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS), will offer an interactive, audience-led format, giving the platform to the live audience to submit their questions concerning the Brazilian market to the expert speakers.

Overall, the conference agenda will lay host to 100 industry experts as they address key issues pertaining to the Brazilian market. SBC is set to host an exclusive gathering tailored for commercially driven sports team representatives attending SBC Summit Rio, taking place at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center from March 5 to 7.

Dubbed SBC Resenha FC, this meet-up is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, kicking off at 13:00 at the Pragmatic Play Networking Bar and Lounge

The meet-up presents delegates with an opportunity to expand their network by connecting with key decision-makers from other sports teams and gaining insights on the best sponsorship strategies for acquisition, fan engagement, and revenue generation.

It also serves as a visibility platform for profiles such as Sponsorship Directors, marketing leads, and sales managers from sports teams, enabling them to stay ahead of the curve by being exposed to emerging trends and innovations in the industry, thus being able to identify potential opportunities for their organisation.

George Harborne, Director, SBC Sponsorship, commented: “On the event organiser level, we’re trying to venture more into the world of sponsorship, and this is, for obvious reasons, more than relevant to the Brazilian market.

“We recognize the positive impact of synergies between sports teams and operators, and we want to create a platform for interested parties to convene and network, discuss the potential out there, and directly find sponsors on the exhibition floor.

“This meet-up is a great opportunity for sports teams to learn from each other by sharing the challenges they have faced but also advance their knowledge of the gambling industry and how they can capitalise on its strength to build stronger financial support for their teams.”

Brazil’s senior executive betting & gaming Event will also play host to multiple conference panel sessions related to the subject, featuring a distinguished lineup of professionals contributing their expertise and leadership to the sports industry.

Prominent names include Pedro Melo (Chief Commercial Officer, Clube Atlético Mineiro); Ricardo Padoveze (Head of Sponsorship, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo); Arnaldo Garcia (CRO – Diretor de Marketing e Negócios, Coritiba Foot Ball Club SAF); Rafael Ganem (Commercial Director, SAF Botafogo); Paula Young (Head of Commercial Activations & International Relations, SAF Botafogo); Liana Bazanela (Diretora Executiva de Marketing e Negócios, Sport Club Internacional); and Roberto Armelin (Diretor Jurídico e de Compliance, São Paulo F.C.).

Within the discussions at SBC Summit Rio, the agenda will feature the integrity trilogy sessions. The initial session will zoom in on the approach embraced by SAF Botafogo and its adherence to regulations, ensuring enhanced protection for both players and operators.

The second session will explore the integration of diversity, equity, and inclusivity frameworks into the core principles of football teams, while he third session of this trilogy will address how technological advancements can aid teams in combating betting-related corruption and collaboration initiatives to tackle match-fixing, a significant concern in the Brazilian market.

The ‘Crafting the Perfect Partnership: Success Stories in Sports’ session will provide a deep dive into why high-profile partnerships are an essential tool for operators in newly-launched markets and how such deals can be leveraged to boost brand awareness in Brazil.

The panel will be enriched by insights from operators, with Bruno Guilherme (CEO, Viradabet) and Renan Cavalcanti (CMO/CXO, EstrelaBet), joining the ranks of speakers alongside Ricardo Padoveze (Head of Sponsorship, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo), Guilherme Guimarães (Founding Partner, Ativa Esporte), Murilo Limo (LATAM Partnerships Director, OneFootball) and panel moderator Fellipe Drommond (CEO, TFW Marketing e Comunicação).

Finally, the event will host the live recording of Behind the Badge, an SBC podcast focusing on the world of sports away from the live action hosted by Harborne and SBC Media LATAM Business Journalist Fernando Noodt. Arnaldo Garcia (CRO – Director of Marketing and Negotiation, Coritiba Foot Ball Club SAF) will be in the guest seat as the trio explore the commercial side of the sports industry.
