Over the course of 2022, The Brook revealed that it has donated over $4m, around 35 per cent of all its gaming revenue, to local charities.

One of America’s largest charity casinos, located near the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border, The Brook provides funds to more than 100 area organisations on a rotating basis.

“Seeing the potential of New Hampshire’s charity casino model is what brought us home to build The Brook,” said Andre Carrier, CEO of The Brook. “These numbers show how significantly our business can provide for essential service organisations in New Hampshire.”

In 2019, Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort acquired The Brook and since then, the latter has distributed a total of over $8m to organisations such as Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie’s Angels and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels.

Carrier continued: “Every day, people are confronted by real problems that need to be solved; from hunger to addiction to suicide prevention. And there are incredible people serving these causes across the Granite State at hundreds of charities.

“Our 100 per cent employee-owned company has provided millions to these essential charities, and the continued remodel and expansion of The Brook should indicate it is our intention to raise millions more in service to New Hampshire.”

Earlier this year, The Brook unveiled an expanded gaming area and added nearly 500 gaming machines including Buffalo Gold, Ultimate Fire Link and China Shores as it became the first casino in the state to offer Historical Horse Racing machines.

“The Brook motto is ‘Live Free and Play’, Carrier concluded. “These fundraising numbers show how having fun and doing good goes so perfectly hand in hand at The Brook.”

The 75-acre property, which is 40 miles from Boston, also offers table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, and Cajun Stud, the state’s only Stadium Gaming area with live dealers and digital screens, simulcast racing seven days a week, and an 18-table poker room that runs daily cash games and giveaways.

Eureka Casino Resorts’ New Hampshire-based charity casino The Brook has surpassed the $5m landmark of money raised for local causes since it purchase the property in February 2019.

The venue has donated funds to more than 75 charities on a rotating basis over the last three-plus years, with the Granite State contributing 35 per cent of all gaming revenue directly to local organisations.

Julie Baron, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, said she will be “forever grateful” for the support The Brook has provided her organisation as well as the others that have benefited.

“The Brook’s passion and enthusiasm to give back and support the children of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire has been deeply touching and impactful,” she noted.

“Because of The Brook, children in New Hampshire can find joy, hope and power in one simple wish. Their overall support of the many charities they work with shows how committed they are to truly making a difference in our community.”

During the timeframe Eureka Casino Resorts, The Brook’s parent company that also boasts a venue in Nevada, has completely remodelled the 75-acre property.

Most recently, the property unveiled an enlarged casino floor, fresh gaming machines, outside deck, ballroom and event space. In coming months, The Brook will continue to expand and add further games, which will help boost the number of charities that the casino benefits to more than 100.

“We’ve invested millions to breathe new life into and totally reimagine the former Seabrook Park, now completely reinvented as The Brook,” said Andre Carrier, Chief Executive Officer of The Brook.

“We’ve made meaningful and impactful partnerships with dozens of New Hampshire charities, working deliberately and diligently, not only to raise money, but to create opportunities to build awareness for their services and to call for volunteers.”

Eureka Casino Resorts, which launched in 1997 and became Nevada’s first employee-owned hotel-casino company in 2015, is a 100% employee-owned resort casino company that acquired The Brook, formerly known as Seabrook Park, in 2019.

New Hampshire’s The Brook has announced an immediate pause on all operations, with a week-long closure to commence due to rising COVID-19 positive cases across New England.

The property says that it intends to reopen on Thursday 17 December; documenting a revised schedule that will see the facility remain closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Brook, which was acquired by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resorts in 2019, says that the shutdown is “in the best interest of all concerned” and represents a decision that ensures that the company adheres to its core values.

Andre Carter, CEO of The Brook, explained: “As COVID-19 positive cases test results surge across New England, The Brook has seen cases arise on property. At this moment, we believe it is in the best interest of our employee-owners, and our community, for The Brook to pause operations in order to make our small contribution to the work that must be done to flatten the curve.

“To that end, The Brook will be closed from now until Thursday 17th. When we reopen on the 17th, we will operate five days per week, choosing to close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

“During Christmas week, we will close Tuesday 22nd – Friday 25th to allow our employee owners to celebrate the Christmas holiday and to allow for more time for the peak to pass.

“Since many of you, our guests, show such great care and concern, please know that our employee owners will be compensated during this pause in operation.”

Formerly known as Seabrook Park, upon acquiring the 75-acre property Eureka Casino Resorts began a year-long, multimillion-dollar project to completely remodel and rebrand the 90,000 square foot facility.

Cases of COVID-19 in the US are nearing 16 million according to latest figures, with 218,473 new cases reported on December 9. The country is said to have set records for cases, deaths and hospitalisations in recent days.

“As a 100 per cent employee owned family business, our core values call us to serve our guests, community, and one another, with care, compassion, and dedication,” Carter added.

“Since reopening, that service has taken the shape of safety and sanitisation practices such as installing hospital grade MERV air filtration, installing protective plexiglass, utilising electric dispersion sprayers, targeting and randomised COVID testing, QR codes for guest registration, and of course sufficient inventories of PPE. At this moment, we believe that pausing operations keeps us true to our core values.

“Though these are difficult times, this is also the season of thankfulness and a time to reflect on our blessings. We are so very grateful for the remarkable support we have received from our guests since opening The Brook. We will use this time to find new ways to further improve safety and further improve fun.”

DraftKings has debuted its latest retail sportsbook venue alongside The Brook in New Hampshire,  promising a “first of its kind” sports wagering entity for the state.

Outfitted with betting kiosks and video walls, the sportsbook exists within The Brook’s ‘Stadium’ sports entertainment space, with the opening, representing DraftKings’ eighth retail location in the US,  coinciding with the return to action of many professional sports leagues.

In consultation with regulators and public health officials, DraftKings Sportsbook at The Brook may also add to or update safety and sanitisation procedures implemented by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resorts, which acquired and re-branded the venue in 2019, during the last few months.

“With major sports resuming in recent weeks, I am extremely pleased The Brook is opening its new retail sportsbook,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “This retail sportsbook represents the next evolution for the New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings, which have already established New Hampshire as the go-to destination for sports betting in the Northeast.

“Along with placing bets online and with their mobile devices, sports fans now have an exciting new retail location where they can place bets on their favourite teams and experience this new way to win.”

The New Hampshire Lottery and DraftKings launched mobile sports betting in the state in December 2019. DraftKings is New Hampshire’s exclusive sports betting provider and has committed to operating at least four retail sportsbook locations statewide. Since December 2019, total sports betting in New Hampshire has exceeded $65m.

“DraftKings is a customer-first company that looks at the many ways fans engage with sports,” said Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer of DraftKings. “Our valued collaboration with The Brook and the New Hampshire Lottery will bring an immersive and entertaining in-person sports betting experience to fans in New Hampshire.”

In January 2019, Eureka Casino Resorts acquired the historic 75-acre property and began a year-long, multimillion-dollar project to completely remodel and rebrand the 90,000 square foot facility as The Brook.

Formerly known as Seabrook Park, the transformation included a race and sportsbook, the largest of its kind within 300 miles, at the only pari-mutuel facility in New Hampshire.

“The New Hampshire Lottery is excited to be working with The Brook and DraftKings to open New Hampshire’s first retail sportsbook, further establishing New Hampshire as a premier sports betting destination in the northeast,” stated Charlie McIntyre, executive director of New Hampshire Lottery

“With more than 42,000 registered NH users, mobile sports betting is already attracting a new generation of players to the New Hampshire Lottery. The addition of The Brook’s retail sportsbook will only further support our efforts to maximise revenue for education in New Hampshire.”

New Hampshire’s greyhound racing track The Brook, known as Seabrook Park for approximately four decades, has completed a yearlong, multi-million dollar remodel and rebrand.

The 75-acre property was acquired one year ago by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resorts, a 100 per cent employee-owned company that has remodelled the 90,000-square-foot facility.

Lauded as “America’s largest charity casino,” The Brook intends to re-imagine charitable gaming in New Hampshire, a state that directs 35 per cent of gaming revenues directly to local organisations.

One of the newest developments saw the addition of a racebook and sports viewing area, lauded as “the largest of its kind within 300 miles”.

The Brook’s charity casino features table games such as blackjack, roulette and cajun stud, as well as being the only New Hampshire casino with Stadium Gaming technology. The remodel also introduces a retro arcade, complete with pinball and classic 80s and 90s video games.

“I was excited and delighted to see the new renovations at ‘The Brook’ unveiled today,” noted Bill Manzi, Seabrook town manager. “The town of Seabrook looks forward to first-rate gaming and entertainment at this beautiful new facility, and is deeply appreciative of the major investment in Seabrook made by Eureka.”

Eureka Casino Resorts launched in 1997 and in 2015 became Nevada’s first employee-owned hotel-casino company. The company was recently named one of the Top 100 Medium Workplaces in America by Fortune magazine for a second consecutive year.

“Sometimes you are out to do good and sometimes you are out for good fun. The Brook gives you a beautiful and exciting place to do both,” said Andre Carrier, chief executive officer at Eureka Casino Resorts. “New Hampshire has had charity casinos for years, but it has never had a true ‘casino experience. The Brook changes all of that.

“At Eureka, our ‘why’ and our ‘way’ are at our core. In New Hampshire, our ‘why’ is to be the largest, most successful charity casino in the world, and our ‘way’ is always to serve our guests, community, and one another with care, compassion, and dedication as a 100 per cent employee-owned company.”
